Yorkville School

Welcome to my website. My name is Ms. Melanie.  I am excited to be a part of the Yorkville family!  This year is my tenth year of teaching. 

 I have been married for fourteen years and I have a three-year old son.

I teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade science and social studies.  My classes consist of discussion, group work, labs, use of technology, hands-on

activities and much fun.  I enjoy learning new ways of introducing material and incorporating the information to meet my students’ goals.

I have already met a number of my junior high parents.  If I have not met you, please come by the school and introduce yourself. 

I look forward to meeting you.    I feel that communication is extremely important and vital. 

I would like to say thank you to the parents, the students, the faculty of Yorkville, and the Gibson County Special School District.  Everyone has been

extremely welcoming and helpful.  I appreciate all of your kindness!

I look forward to seeing you at Open House, PTO meetings, and parent-teacher conferences throughout the year.
