• The high school English curriculum provides a comprehensive study of language, literature, and language processes for grades nine through twelve. The Program of Studies for each grade level meets and exceeds the Virginia Standards of Learning for English, encompassing speaking, listening, viewing, and technology skills to complement the traditional language and literature.

The foreign language standards are based on the national standards referred to as the five Cs: Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.
