We will allow students to check out on Wednesday, October 25th at 9:30 A.M. to drive to the game in Chattanooga. You will be required to have a parent note, or your parent must come to the school to check you out to leave the school property. If you are riding with someone other than your own parent or guardian, your note must specify the name of the adult your will be riding with. There will be no exceptions made. You will check-out in the main lobby with Mrs. Carrie and Mrs. Deanna. When you arrive at the game in Chattanooga, it will be your responsibility to find Mrs. Tami Johnson or Mr. Pruett and check-in with him, this will cover you for 2nd – 4th blocks on Wednesday. If you do not report to school on Wednesday, you will need to use a parent note for 1st block, for you to be excused for 2nd – 4th, you must check in with Mrs. Tami Johnson or Mr. Pruett at the game. Please remember you must have a parent note to check-out, or your parent will need to physically come to the school to check you out on Wednesday there will be no exception. We will not accept a phone call, text message, email, or fax. Not checking-in with Mrs. Tami Johnson or Mr. Pruett at the game will result in your attendance to be counted unexcused for the time you are not in school.
If you do not go on Wednesday and the girls advance, you can choose to attend Thursday's game, but you will only be excused from school beginning Thursday at 11:00 A.M. If you plan to stay the night Thursday night, you will need to contact an administrator to be excused on Friday. You will need to follow the same procedures as explained for those attending on Wednesday.
Girls Soccer State Game – Process to have your absence excused.
- 1)Must sign out in the main lobby with Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Deanna @ 9:30 A.M.
- 2)Must have a parent note to sign out or parent needs to physically (be here at the school) to check you out. If you are riding with someone other than your own parent or guardian, your note must specify the name of the adult you will be riding with – no exceptions will be made, no phone calls, text, email, or fax allowed.
- 3)When arriving at the game you are required to find Mrs. Tami Johnson or Mr. Pruett to check-in with him, if you do not check in, your absence will be counted unexcused.
- 4)If attending Thursday’s game, you will be required to find the designated SGCHS staff member and check-in with them for your absence to be excused.
- 5)If you do not come to school Wednesday 1st block, you will need to use a parent note for that block. If the team advances and you choose to attend Thursday’s game, but do not come to school 1st and 2nd block, you will need to use a parent note for those blocks. You will also need to check in with designated SGCHS staff member at the game Thursday to have 3rd and 4th block excused and contact an administrator if you plan to stay Thursday night to have Friday excused.
