The Gibson County Special School District is required to complete a TISA Accountability Report, which details how the district uses TISA funds to achieve specific goals for student achievement.
The TISA Accountability Report promotes efforts for school improvement. By providing feedback on academic performance, school climate, and student support services, parents help ensure transparency and guide data-driven decisions. Their input enables educators and administrators to identify strengths and areas for growth, fostering a more responsive and inclusive learning environment. This collaborative process strengthens the partnership between families and schools, ultimately benefiting student success.

We are proud to introduce our newly elected Student Board Representatives, Jack (senior at GCHS) and Isaac (junior at SGCHS)!
Jack and Isaac will join the seven elected board members in policy discussions to ensure the student voice is accounted for in all decisions. They will participate in all Board activities except for confidential school safety plan meetings, student disciplinary hearings, teacher disciplinary matters, executive/attorney-client meetings and will have the opportunity to offer a voiced opinion before every vote. They’ll also be able to bring up issues of importance for discussion among the Board.
- Represent all students within the district
- Attend and provide student opinions at School Board meetings
- Report major updates, including but not limited to student affairs and proposals, school activities, and educational issues, to the School Board
-Serve as the liaison between the School Board and the student population
Help us give them a warm welcome!
