GCSSD offers many opportunities for students to gain college credit through our AP(advanced placement) course options. We provide in person AP classes that include AP Calculus, AP Computer Science, AP English/Language/Comp, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, and AP US History. We also provide access to over 20 additional AP courses offered through the APAA( AP access for all) program. Each test is graded on a scale of 1-5 and students who score a 3, 4, or 5 are eligible to receive college credit at colleges nationwide. This past school year we had a total of 153 students to score in this range! This is quite an achievement, and we are very proud of our AP students, and we are also proud of the AP teachers who dedicate so much extra time to provide the rigorous lessons needed to achieve this level of success.

Immunization clinics will be available at our Open House events, provided by the Gibson County Health Department.
South Gibson County Middle School - GCSSD July 28th @ 5:45PM
Dyer School July 30th @ 6PM
The SGCES Immunization Clinic has been canceled.

Our students continue to excel across multiple subject areas, and the percentages shown reflect our Proficiency Rate (Met + Exceeded Expectations).
These results are a direct reflection of the hard work of our students and the dedication of our teachers and staff who make this success possible every day. 👏
